8th Grade - World
In 8th grade, students study world geography, Biblical worldview and finish their final year of Spanish.  Their mission trip is a culminating event that summarizes their CCS experience with an intense week of ministry in another country using a foreign language.  This trip is designed to partner with God and help students understand God's love for the world.

Day 3
Rick Martin 04/22/10 12:24 AM CST

Wednesday is always a big day but a really fun day.  It started with a devotional about letting our light shine by serving God.  We then took the word and put it into action by as we walked into the days's events.  Aftger a microbus ride to the subway station, (30 minutes with half the team in one bus and the other half in another)  we then got on the subway and rode downtown to tour the cathedral, tower, and handicraft market.  We ate supper at a resturant with the idea that we would spend a leisure evening watching the ballet.  Everything was working until the leisure evening came into view.  What we thought would take us 20 minutes to arrive at the rescheduled theater ended up taking over an hour.  We arrived at the theater with 15 minutes to spare and we all enjoyed the show.  Afther the show, we were so thankful that we had arranged for a bus to pick us up to deliver us to the mission.  So, no late night travel home on the subway and microbus!

Tomorrow brings us back the mission with a full day of ministry planned.  So far everyone is healthy except for Andrew.  He got a sore stomach last night and had a tough day but seemed to gain strength as the day went on.  All other stomachs seem to be holding strong praise the Lord.  The students are doing great.  We truly have a great group of 8th graders.
