CCS Spanish
Elementary Spanish

Students in Kindergarten, first and second grades sing songs, listen to stories and play simple vocabulary games in Spanish to develop a foundation for language learning.

In third and fourth grades, students begin to explore written Spanish, focusing on vowel sounds, numbers and basic vocabulary.  They also prepare a simple dramatization of a Bible story in Spanish.

Students in fifth grade continue to develop the vocabulary themes introduced in third and fourth grades, with the additional challenge of expressing ideas in sentences.
