Choir and Worship
At Cornerstone Christian School, students love to sing! As a Christian private school, we believe that all students should learn how to “make a joyful noise” and celebrate worshiping our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! As a result, all students are involved in Choir. Upper elementary, 3rd – 5th grades, are brought together to create a choir where they begin sight reading skills, reading and singing choral music and worshiping God through contemporary worship music. This choir also learns and performs a yearly Christmas musical!
Worship
Worship to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is the most important gift we can give back to Him. From preschool through middle school, our students’ worship through music is alive, exciting and filled with passion! Our students love to praise and worship their heavenly Father during our weekly chapel services. Elementary students help lead worship songs to their peers each week and middle school students have the opportunity to choose worship team as an elective class. In this class, students learn to work together as a worship team that includes vocalists, instrumentalists, sound techs and lyrics techs. We also explore “The Heart of Worship” teaching that dives into why we were created to worship and how a worshipping team becomes a team. This team leads worship each week in middle school chapel.
